We are still working on the Heritage Panels, so far we have had a template designed and collected masses of archive material and photos, the hard work of editing and choosing which ones to use will have to be a winter job and then we will have 2 for each of our 8 Stations with Heritage Information particular to that Station for visitors and locals to enjoy.
Part of our Station Audit has thrown up some interesting Heritage Station furniture which we are very keen to restore and retain. We hope to work on the restoration of Dalwhinnie Station Clock, which has been painted over, as it had stopped working and we have also found 4 Macfarlane benches at Pitlochry Station and 2 at Blair Atholl in need of restoration, sadly the ones from Dunkeld & Birnam have disappeared. Also Carrbridge has a fine high Victorian desk in one of the rooms which we would like to retain. These assets are all part of the Highland Main Line Heritage and must be preserved.
